A sea of dreadlocks and ganja haze await festival-goers to this weekend’s “Heart of Nature” music festival at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Headlining the three-day event (March 24-26) is Grammy-winner Stephen “Ragga” Marley, the son of legendary Rastafarian musician Bob Marley. Rebel Souljahz, Fortunate Youth, Hirie, Eli Mac and several other artists will play throughout the weekend.

Marley’s family is behind the recently launched “Marley Natural”, a brand of cannabis products that includes marijuana, oils, and accessories. The brand was the first in Santa Rosa to be approved for medical cannabis processing, manufacturing, and distribution.

Heart of Nature is the second of several cannabis-focused events being hosted in 2016 and 2017 by the fairgrounds, which included December’s Emerald Cup and the forthcoming CannaCon (April 20-22), and High Times Cannabis Cup in June.

Hosted by HempCon Events, the festival will also include a Cannabis Cup competition, seminars on pesticides, cooking with cannabis, herbal medicine, and cannabis business. More than 300 vendors are expected to attend, and a special 215 area will allow California residents with medical cannabis cards to legally consume marijuana at the event.

Tickets are $50 for general admission and $150 for VIP admission. Details online at heartofnaturefest.com.
